Port Checker is a free online tool that allows you to scan commonly used ports on your computer. Scanning takes less than a minute.
When you are connected to the Internet, your computer may have many ports open which can prove to be a threat to your security.
By using this application you can check for unwanted services running and close them unless they are being used intentionally for some specific reason.
Finally, you should know that stopping unwanted services will increase your computer's performance.
Here's how it works, after connecting to the service press the Quick Scan button and do a quick scan that can scan up to 13 ports, or choose Long Scan to scan many more (up to 36).
