If you have Windows 10 installed on your computer as an upgrade to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, you may have noticed that in addition to the Windows folder, there is another folder in the installation called Windows.old. which contains files and folders from our previous operating system which, in addition to being useless to us, also take up a lot of space on our hard drive. However there is a way to delete them after following the simple steps below.

Type the word in the search icon in the Windows taskbar Disk clean up and click to run the application.

In the next field select the disk you have installed Windows click OK and wait a while for the application to analyze the files to be deleted.

Click on the option clear system files and in the window that will open again select the disk where windows is installed.

Once the application has analyzed the disk it will display a table with the contents to be deleted, find it now and check the box of the previous windows installation press OK. and then in the delete confirmation window click on the button delete files. That was it, now wait a while for the application to delete the contents you selected.
