AOMEI Image Deploy free: How to install windows on multiple computers at once

views
read

Ever wondered what is the easiest way to deploy the image of one operating system on multiple computers at once instead of restoring or installing the system image on multiple computers one at a time? For example, windows should be installed on 30 computers including software, patches, drivers, and more.

This will take a lot of time if you do it on a separate computer. AOMEI Image Deploy offers you a simple solution that transfers system image to dozens of computers simultaneously. It is essentially a free development and cloning software that supports the development, recovery of an image on many computers over a network.

The recovery process is displayed in percentage. The server will receive the query whether the reset is successful or not and can manage all clients in remote areas. These features simply allow you to follow the steps one step at a time to complete the development process on client computers on the same LAN. on the network after logging in to the operating system.

In fact, you can pre-install the remote control software on the system image. When clients are connected to the Internet, you can perform later operation on clients in remote areas. The AOME Universal Restore technique supports the development of the system image on many clients even with different hardware (for example different CPU and motherboard) and ensures the normal boot of the system on the clients after installation.

To use the tool you must first enter the BIOS of each computer separately and configure the client computers to boot from the network. Supports the development (recovery or cloning) of a system image or system disk image on multiple computers over a local area network.

The whole process as you understand it is not suitable for beginners, and may seem difficult even for more advanced users. However, below are the steps you should follow, and of course I give you the link to read the full instructions from the website of the application developer.

STEPS

1

Use "Automatically create Windows PE" or "Manually create AOMEI Windows PE ISO" to create an ISO PE ISO file that includes the AOMEI Image Deploy program. Select "Automatically create Windows PE" and then click "Next", the program will automatically create the Windows PE ISO file in the installation directory of this program.

Select "Automatically create Windows PE" and then click "Make WinPE", you will get the interface where you can manually create Windows PE ISO. You can click "Add Drivers" to add device drivers to Windows PE ISO if needed. Then complete the Windows PE ISO step-by-step setup. When done, go back to the main interface and click "Browse" to select the created ISO file.

2

Select "Enable DHCP" if needed.

  Note (1)

For the installation to be successful, there must be only one DHCP server on the network because too many DHCP servers will result in a malicious distribution of the client's IP address. "DHCP Enable" is the built-in DHCP server configuration feature. Once you see the message "Service started, waiting for connection", then you can run on the clients.

 Note (2)

Clients must wait for startup until the prompt "Service started, waiting for connection ...". Otherwise, they can not start successfully. To boot clients, you must use the Bios to set Network Boot as the first boot device, or let the clients boot directly from the network. If your BIOS is in UEFI mode, you need to set "UEFI and Legacy" or "Legacy Only" to boot the client computers.

(If the BIOS does not support UEFI, you can skip the previous step). Then wait for all the clients to boot successfully, then check the "Confirm all clients that need to be available on the network" option and click the "Next" button to enter the reset settings page.

3

In the Select Backup file option, you can select only the image file or the disk image file created by AOMEI Backupper with the file name ".adi" in the Shared Network or NAS folder. Click Browse to open the page to select an image, and click Add NAS Sharing Device to add the network sharing directory or NAS sharing directory, and select the image file. or the disk image file with the file name "there.

4

"Client Selection": select the clients from the list. "Destination disk number": specify which client disk the image should expand (disk number starts from 0-256). "Extended computers": specify the number of client computers to be restored or deployed at the same time, at least 1 and at least 3.

 Note (3)

Restore, Expand will delete all partitions on the destination disk, so make sure the specified disk numbers are the same as the disks that need to be restored to the client computers. Generally, if the client computer has only one disk, then the disk number is "0". The source data is transmitted over the network, so that if the network pressure increases, the "growing computers" are set to too high a level, which will also slow down the transfer speed and the recovery-deployment speed.

Therefore, you need to define the appropriate number based on the hardware devices, such as network card and network cable. The recommended number is 5. If AOMEI Image Deploy Free is installed on the Server, only a maximum of 20 computers can be selected. If AOMEI Image Deploy Free is installed on the PC operating system, an unlimited number of computers can be selected.

5

Select "Setup" to configure the reset settings. "Define PC Name": Specify the client name after the reset / deployment "IP Configuration": Configure the client's IP address and DNS server after the reset / deployment.Name and IP address of the computers "Universal Restore": specify whether you should use "Universal Restore" to continue the restore or not.

If the hardware of the client computers, such as the CPU, the motherboard, is not the same as the source computer in the system image file, select "Universal Restore" which supports image recovery on a computer with inhomogeneous hardware.  Note: When setting the computer name and IP address, try to avoid setting the computer name and IP address that you have already used with the LAN. "Set IP" and "Universal Restore" are only available in the technical version of AOMEI Image Deploy.

6. Click the "Start Deployment" button to enter the page to continue resetting / deploying. You can use "Shut Down PC" or "Restart PC" to set whether to shut down the computer or restart it after restoring the client computer. You can check the development / recovery progress from here. Developed clients can normally load the system.

Please note that the above presentation is indicative and for your complete information you should read the complete installation guide, as it is understood it is an application for ΄΄possible΄΄- advanced users. Finally, in addition to this application, it is necessary to have installed on your computer and  AOMEI Backupper
