"Everything" is a search engine that finds files and folders by file name instantly in Windows. Unlike classic Windows search, "Everything" first displays every file and folder on your computer (hence the name "Everything"). You type in a search filter to restrict the files and folders that appear, it only states file and folder names, and it generally takes a few seconds to create its database. For a new installation of Windows 10 (approximately 120.000 files) it will take about 1 second to index, 1.000.000 files will take about 1 minute.1.000.000 files will take about 1 minute.
