Cyotek WebCopy: Download any webpage to your hard drive

Cyotek WebCopy is a free tool for copying all or part of any website locally to your hard drive so that you can access it in full without being forced to be constantly connected to the Internet.

The application, although simple, includes several individual settings to satisfy even the most demanding user. Links to resources such as stylesheets, images, and other pages on the web page will be remapped to match the local path. Using the extended configuration you can specify which parts of the website will be copied and how.

WebCopy will examine the HTML margin of a website and try to discover all linked resources such as other pages, images, videos, file downloads - anything and everything. He will download all these resources and keep looking for more.

In this way, WebCopy can "scan" an entire website and download everything it sees in an attempt to create a logical ΄΄photocopy΄΄ of the source website.

However, if a site uses heavy JavaScript to function, it is unlikely that WebCopy will be able to make an exact copy unless it is able to discover the entire site due to the use of JavaScript for dynamic link generation.

WebCopy does not download the raw source code of a web page, but can download whatever the HTTP server returns. Although it will make every effort to create an offline copy, some sites may not function as expected once copied.
