It is a free, open source tablature editing software that includes key features such as tablature editing, sheet music editing, support for triplets, and the ability to import and export Guitar Pro gp3, gp4, and gp5 format files.
Additionally, it can act as a basic MIDI editor using the tablature interface, and from version 1.0 onwards, it can import and export MIDI files.
The track list is a very useful option, providing quick access to many of the most important aspects of your song. As you may have noticed, there is already a track ready for you when you start a new tab document.
As long as you have a Java Virtual Machine soundbank installed, each track will play a sound when you play the file in TuxGuitar.
