Eraser: Completely erase your data from your hard drive


Most of us have some data files that we would probably not want to share with others, such as passwords, personal information, classified documents from our work, financial information and more. You already have a lot of this information stored on your computer, but when it comes time to remove it from your hard drive for some reason, things start to get a little more complicated as of course deleting it permanently is not as simple as do you think. 

 The first thought is probably that we are just deleting the file and the data is lost. Unfortunately this is not enough, since when you delete a file, the operating system does not actually remove the file from the disk but only removes the file reference from the file system table. The file stays on the disk until another file overwhelms it, but even after that, it may be possible for someone to easily recover your data using appropriate programs. 

Eraser is an advanced security tool for Windows that allows you to completely erase sensitive data from your hard drive without the worry that someone else can recover it. How to use it is simple, after installing the application select with your mouse (right click) the file or files you want to delete, select the Eraser icon and click delete.
