ThrottleStop is a small application designed to monitor and fix the three main types of CPU throttling used on many laptops.
The left side of ThrottleStop contains a variety of options that can be used to bypass CPU throttling, and on the right side is a monitoring panel that shows you the current status of each thread on your CPU.
Some laptops use clock shaping and multiplier reductions to reduce your computer's performance and power consumption.&
This is done intentionally either to allow your computer to run without using its full potential, to allow your laptop to run on a power adapter that is insufficient to fully power your laptop and recharge the battery of at the same time.
When using the ThrottleStop, it is highly recommended that you monitor your power consumption to make sure that you do not exceed the power supply capacity of the power adapter. Happlication is designed for advanced computer users, therefore, you should be very careful about any modifications you make to your laptop, as overriding the default settings may cause permanent damage to the power adapter, or your computer, or both of which may not be covered by your warranty.
