DriveImage XML: Free program for backing up logical drives and partitions

read

DriveImage XML is a simple easy-to-use, reliable imaging and backup program. To create an image, it uses Microsoft Volume Shadow Services (VSS) technology, which allows you to create secure images.

Images are stored in XML files, allowing you to edit them with various tools, but most importantly, restoring images to disks can be done without rebooting.

It will run on all Windows. The program will create backups, images and disks formatted with FAT 12, 16, 32 and NTFS. DriveImage XML is available free for personal use, however no support is provided in this case.

In conclusion, this is a great application that will help you to backup logical drives and Partitions to image files, and with the ability to browse images, view and extract files, and restore your images to the same or different drive or even copy your OS directly from one drive to another on the drive.
