SSDs, also known as solid state drives, are storage devices that use integrated circuits as memory to store our data. SSDs have entered our digital lives for good and are slowly displacing the classic slow mechanical drives we have been using for years. The main advantages of SSDs are the absence of mechanical parts and of course the high read and write speeds compared to the classic mechanical hard drives. To test their speed we can use several applications, one of them is the AS SSD Benchmark. The application will automatically recognize the disks we have on the computer and from there as long as we select the one we are interested in, press START and wait a while for the results.
