How to create additional Partition on windows disk

Nowadays, hard drives are now obsolete and are available in very large capacities, and are used by many as storage units, SSDs have now taken over the competition and are now being installed in new computers.

However, whether we have a hard disk or an SSD in our computer, from a tactical point of view we should have divided our hard disk into 2 more partitions according to its capacity, one for our operating system and one or more for our photos music, or our apps and games.

Partitioning our hard drive into partitions is a very simple process and can be done through Windows.

STEPS

1.  Today we will see how to create a separate Partition on our disk. For this purpose, Mrpress the keys at the same time Windows + R and enter the command diskmgmt.msc.

2.   On the next tab, select the disk where windows is installed and select shrink volume.

3. Depending on the capacity of your disk, select its capacity and finally, click on the shrink button.

4. On the new disk that will be created, select new volume.

5. Let Windows choose the drive letter and click next.

6. Leave the file system as is and click next. After the process is complete, we are now ready. However, we should point out that in order to complete the process, the disk must have available capacity that is not reserved by windows. Don't worry about this, though, because if there is not the required capacity, windows will not let you continue.

The whole process is safe, however we must not forget the basic rule which is none other than backup that we should always take no matter how simple or difficult a process is.
