UVI Workstation is not just a sound player. It's a tool that lets you create real music, even if you have no previous experience. Here are some practical examples to get you started right away.
🥁 1. Make a Simple Beat
Want to create a basic rhythm? It's easier than you think:
- Open a drum library (Drums / Percussion).
- Choose a kick, snare, and hi-hat sound.
- Place them in a simple 4/4 pattern.
- Add a little reverb or compression for a fuller sound.
💡 Tip: Start with simple patterns and gradually build more complex rhythms.
🎹 2. Combine 2–3 Instruments
With UVI Workstation you can create small compositions in a few minutes:
- Load a piano for the main melody.
- Add a pad or strings for atmosphere.
- Add a soft bass to "tie" the sound.
With these three instruments you can create everything from relaxing music to soundtracks for videos.
📚 3. Use Ready-Made Sound Libraries
UVI Workstation supports thousands of ready-made sound libraries. This means you can create music without having to build the sounds from scratch.
- Download free sounds from UVI or other companies.
- Load them into the program with one click.
- Search for sounds by genre (piano, synth, drums, etc.).
- Add effects to adapt them to your own style.
💡 Ideal for beginners: Ready-made libraries help you create music without knowing theory or composition.
🎬 4. Create a Quick Soundtrack for Video
Do you want music for YouTube, TikTok, or a personal project? UVI Workstation is ideal for quick soundtrack production:
- Choose a pad or ambient sound as a base.
- Add a simple melody with piano or synth.
- Put on a light beat for rhythm.
- Adjust the volume so that the music doesn't drown out the voice in the video.
In 5–10 minutes you can have a complete piece of music ready to use.
✨ Our Advice: Don't be afraid to experiment. UVI Workstation is built to test ideas quickly and without limitations.
How to Export Your Music
After you complete your composition in UVI Workstation, the next step is to save it as an audio file, so you can use it in videos, social media, or share it with others.
🎧 1. Use UVI Workstation as Standalone
If you are working in the program alone (without a DAW), then exporting is done through the “Record” function.
- Press the button All time lap record at the top of the program.
- Play your music or let the project play by itself.
- When you're done, press Stop.
- The program will automatically save the audio file in the folder you specified.
💡 Tip: The file is usually saved in WAV format for maximum quality.
🎛️ 2. Export via DAW (Cubase, FL Studio, Reaper, etc.)
If you are using UVI Workstation within a music production program (DAW), then the export is done from the DAW itself.
- Load UVI Workstation as an instrument (VST/AU).
- Write or import your melody into the MIDI track.
- Adjust the volume and effects.
- From the DAW menu select Export / Render / Bounce.
- Choose file format (WAV for quality, MP3 for small size).
- Click Export and wait for it to complete.
This way you can export your entire project, including all instruments and effects.
🎬 3. Export for Use in Video
If you want to use your music in videos (YouTube, TikTok, Reels), follow these steps:
- Choose MP3 for a smaller file size.
- Adjust the volume so that it doesn't "cover" the voice in the video.
- Use a bitrate of 192–256 kbps for clear sound.
💡 Tip: If the video is professional, choose WAV for maximum quality.
📁 4. Where are the Files Stored?
The files you export are saved in the folder you have specified in your program or DAW. It is a good idea to create a folder like:
- Music → Projects → UVI Workstation
- Music → Exports
This way you will easily find your pieces and have an organized archive.
✨ Tip: Export frequently, especially when working on large projects. This way you'll never lose your progress and always have ready-to-use versions.
