Ashampoo Audio Recorder Free is a free audio recording software for capturing audio from your microphone or sound card (loopback). This makes the program a perfect dictation machine that records your voice without quality loss, e.g. to add an audio track to your own videos.
By using loopback as your audio source, you can record anything you hear from your speakers, regardless of the application the audio is coming from. This option, also known as "What You Hear", offers a way to record audio that plays back on your computer without problems.
Just select the source, hit the record button and you're good to go. Supported formats include MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, FLAC, OPUS and APE. Sample rates up to 48kHz ensure excellent quality for streams, podcasts, audiobooks and music.
In addition, performing audio trimming, e.g. to remove annoying ads, it's just a few clicks away. Ashampoo Audio Recorder Free saves the final recordings in a separate media library.
You can use the built-in player to preview your recordings, but you can also rename your files according to your needs.
