Kodi is a free, open source media player developed by the Kodi Foundation, a non-profit technology consortium.
It is available for multiple operating systems and hardware platforms, for use with TVs and remote controls.
It allows users to play and view videos, music, podcasts, and other digital media files from local storage, storage on your network, and the Internet.
It plays almost any kind of media and you might find it ideal for watching TV, movies and your favorite shows,
It's the best way to share your photos on the biggest screen in the house with a personal presentation.
It works with a number of popular backends including MediaPortal, MythTV, NextPVR, Tvheadend and more. However, you can also play games too, just choose from a large number of emulators the one you want, or even play a standalone game.
A one of the best plugins it includes is the YouTube plugin, however for it to work you need to create a YouTube API KEF.
1. Go to address https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/dashboard
2. Click on CREATE PROJECT and wait a while until your project is ready.
3.Add any name and click select CREATE
4.Select library from the tabs on the left.
5.Mouse scroll down and click the optionYouTube DataAPI v3
6. Click Create Credentials in the upper right corner of the page.
7.In the API option drop-down menu, select YouTube DataAPI v3. For the type of data you will access and check the option Public data. Then click NEXT.
8.You are now done generating your personal YouTube API key. You can find the key in the Credentials tab and view it by clicking on it SHOW KEY. From there, copy the key and paste it into the corresponding option API KEY of Kodi. To find this option click on the Youtube icon in Kodi and select settings.
Before proceeding with the above it would be good to change the Kodi settings and at least until you complete them, it would be good to open in a window and not in full screen so that you can simultaneously work with your browser, since, in some of the settings you will need to have internet access at the same time to enable them.
For this purpose, select and then enable the windowed view mode option by following the steps below that you will see in video :
OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows
Download the Kodi app
