Is it now worth having Facebook to upload articles from your website?


Facebook, as one of the most popular social networking platforms worldwide, has evolved over the years into a critical factor for promoting content and interacting with the audience.

Many users and businesses, however, wonder whether it is now worth using Facebook to post and distribute articles from their website, or whether the platform's algorithms regularly judge this content as spam.

Advantages :

1. Large User Base:
   - Facebook has billions of active users, thus offering a large audience for promoting your content.

2. Targeted Advertising:
   - By using Facebook's advertising tools, you can target specific demographics and interests, improving the performance of your promotion.

3. Built-in Analysis Tools:
 = The statistics provided by Facebook can give you valuable information about how your audience interacts with your content.

4. Ease of Notification:
  - Users can easily share your links, thus increasing your reach.

Disadvantages:

1. Organic Reach Reduction:
   - In recent years, the organic reach of Facebook posts has decreased, making it harder to get noticed without paid ads.

2. Competition:
   - There is a lot of competition for users' attention, and your posts can get lost in the volume of content published daily.

3. Dependence on Algorithms:
   - Changes to Facebook algorithms can significantly affect the reach and interaction of your posts.

Facebook has recently implemented strict rules regarding the type of content it considers acceptable. Many articles and posts can be identified as spam (regardless of whether they objectively aren't) if they contain too many links, for example. 

How to avoid being marked as spam?

1. Limit your posts: Avoid posting too many times a day and focus on quality over quantity. A good rule of thumb is to post articles that have real value for readers.

2. Promote various types of content: Instead of limiting yourself to articles from your website, discover and share relevant content from third-party sources, such as news or articles from other bloggers.

3. Avoid using clichés and try to write texts that look natural. Posts that look like advertisements often end up being classified as spam content. 

And to answer our question in summary, from my experience over the years, I think times have changed, therefore, if you have a website and want to promote it exclusively through your articles on Facebook, I think it is no longer a good idea and in this case you should consider better promotion strategies, such as SEO, email marketing, but also turn to other social platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn, depending on your audience.

However, if your website targets an audience that is active on Facebook, and their number is significant, then yes, it's worth continuing and using paid ads to increase your visibility.
