🔧 I connect to the router but I don't have internet.
- Your provider's connection may have temporarily suspended due to technical work or network failure
- There is a possibility that there is generalized problem in your area
- If you have unpaid bills, (this happens too) your service maybe it's broken
- Problems with IP address, the DHCP, or DNS
- A recent firmware update of the router may have caused malfunctions
- Incorrect Wi-Fi security settings may prevent connection
- The cable that connects the router to the line (telephone or fiber optic) may have worn out or disconnected
- If you use it telephone connection, check if there is a signal on the line
- Ο network adapter may have malfunctions
- Your device may have incorrect Wi-Fi settings saved
- Other electronic devices (e.g. microwave ovens, Bluetooth devices) may cause interference
- The distance from the router or obstacles (walls, furniture) may reduce the signal
Follow these simple steps to identify and fix the problem:
- Unplug it from the outlet, wait 30 seconds and connect it again
- Check them out LED lights:
- If the Internet LED is red or off, there is a problem with the connection
- If it is green, the problem may be with your device
- If you can access the internet from another device, then the problem is with your device and not on the router
- Check if Wi-Fi is on enabled and if the device is connected to the correct network
- Confirm that the cables they are well connected and they have no damage
- If you use it telephone connection, try connecting a phone to see if there is a dial tone
On Windows:
ipconfig /releaseipconfig /renew
On macOS:
- Settings → Network → Renew DHCP
- Connect to adminpanel of the router (usually at the address 192.168.1.1 ή 192.168.0.1)
- Check if there is update available and install it
