🔗 Step 5: Make Sure All Links Open Correctly

Sometimes, even after you make the changes, some links still open in Edge. This is because Microsoft wants to keep Edge as the preference.

🛠️ Advanced Solution: You can download a program called "EdgeDeflector" that automatically sends all links to the browser of your choice. But for most users, the above steps are enough!
Step 6: Check that it works
  1. Open your email or an application.
  2. Click on a link
  3. If it opens in the browser you chose - well done! You did it!
  4. If not, repeat steps 3-4
🚀 Make Your Browser Even Better

  • 🔐 Password Security: Use a password manager like LastPass or Bitwarden
  • 🔍 Change Search Engine: If you don't like Bing, try Google or DuckDuckGo.
  • 📱 Synchronization: Connect to your account to have your favorites everywhere
⚡ Quick Tip: After the change, your computer may ask you "Are you sure?" when you open links. Just click "Yes" or "Always" to avoid being asked again!

🎉 Congratulations!

You now have full control over the web browser on your computer! Even though Microsoft is trying to keep you on Edge, you have the freedom to choose. Remember: The best browser is the one that suits you! Some prefer the fast simplicity of Chrome, others the privacy of Firefox, and still others the extra features of Brave or Opera.

🔄 Last Tip: If at some point you want to change browsers again, simply repeat the process! You can do this as many times as you want.
