Calligra Suite is an office suite for PCs,. It contains applications for word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, databases, vector graphics and digital painting.
It uses the OpenDocument format as the default file format for most applications but can still import other formats, such as Microsoft Office formats.
Calligra Sheets is a full-featured calculation and spreadsheet tool and you can use it to quickly create and calculate various business-related spreadsheets, such as income and expenses, employee hours, etc.
They benefit from the same technology as all other Calligra products, which means you can do more. Use shapes for notes or create flowcharts and mind maps while you work – the tools are as easy to use as in any other app.
Take advantage of the default templates for the most common use cases. Create balance sheets and invoices or credit card trackers and holiday lists.
Note, however, that currently the versions for windows and Mac are available with absolutely basic features of the application. Recommended for those who want something simple and fast.

Scribus is an excellent pagination program, supporting professional publishing features such as separation, flexible management and PDF creation, originally developed for Linux and very successful.
The program includes all the necessary tools for making calendar charts and publications for business documents. There are versions for Linux, Unix, Mac OS X, OS/2 and Microsoft Windows.
It is known for its wide range of tools and many page layout features, which compare to leading non-free applications such as Adobe PageMaker, PagePlus, QuarkXPress and Adobe InDesign.
Scribus is designed for flexible page layout and typography, and has the ability to prepare files for professional quality typesetting. It can also create animated and interactive PDF presentations and forms.
Examples of use of Scribus are small newspapers, advertising or information leaflets, posters and books. While exporting to PDF is very good, it is still not possible to import and edit existing PDF files, and PDFs exported from Scribus are not searchable by Acrobat Reader if the document contains certain types of fonts.
The Scribus file type, called SLA, is XML-based and fully documented. Text can be imported from OpenDocument documents, as well as from RTF, Microsoft Word .doc, and HTML, although there are some limitations.
